Karhu Korpisavu is a sturdy 6% special beer with a slightly smoky flavour and aroma.
The dark copper-coloured Karhu Korpisavu is, however, first and foremost a beer, and secondarily a malt beverage with a smoky nuance, in contrast to German smoked beers, rauchbiers, in which the smoky taste and aroma is strong.
Karhu Korpisavu will be sold in restaurants in a 33-cl glass bottle in early January. Between January and April the beer will also be on tap at approximately 80 beer restaurants. The product will be added to Alko's selection in early February.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, starch, hops, aroma.
Best before: glass bottle 6 months.
Serving temperature: 8-12° C, even 14 degrees to emphasise the smoky flavour.
Goes well with: smoked ham, Christmas dishes, sausage, fatty fish, game.
